There is going to be massive and unprecedented disruption over COP26 next month, and not just because of the protests. Roads around the venue, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), will be closed, including the Clydeside Expressway and several other streets in the vicinity. The River Clyde will also be shut to boats in front of the SEC, not that there’s much traffic there anyways devastating India — and fears Canada could face a similar scenario.. The police and the army will probably have gunboats moored in case any protester swims up from GourockWe looked throug.

I’m not playing down the security issues. But why Edinburgh and thereabouts?
